Electricity Bill Refund

UPDATE: During the month of December, Malta Enterprise has started the disbursement of the first tranche of payments of the Electricity Refund Scheme, pertaining to validated applications. Certain clients will recieve more than one payment depending on the bills submitted to the Corporation. Pending applications are being reviewed for missing details.

The Electricity Refund Scheme is assisting 3,280 companies and 1,860 self employed with a total expenditure of €6 million.

Businesses are assisted on 50% of a commercial rate account for the months of July, August, and September up to an amount of €1,500 per applicant. Businesses with multiple outlets having more than one electricity utility bill are eligible for a maximum support up to €7,500 depending on the number of employees receiving the Wage Supplement.
